The Washboard Chaz Blues Trio is a New Orleans favorate that plays acoustic blues,
covering the Delta, Piedmont and Chicago Style Blues. Consisting of Washboard Chaz on washboard
and vocals, Andy J Forest on harmonica and vocals and St.Louis Slim on guitar, the Trio
amazes audiences with its full sound and dancible tunes.
Four recordings, 2008's "Mix It Up", 2006's, "Hard Year Blues", 2004's, "Dog Days" and
2002's, "Courtyard Blues", capture the authenticity of their sound. The band has performed
at New Orleans Jazz and Heritage and French Quarter Festivals from 2003 through 2009 and have
amassed an international following with regular tours of Italy, France and Switzerland.
The Trio was featured in HBO's hit show Treme, and have been
nominated for many "Best of Blues Awards" and was OffBeat magazine's Best Emerging
Blues Band for 2004. The numerous reviews about the Trio send locals and visitors alike to
the Frenchmen Street music district for their performances at reknown clubs like The Spotted Cat and dba.
